Academics

African University shall create a stimulating and engaging intellectual climate for its students and faculty. African University will be a moderate sized international institution of higher education with a relatively small student to faculty ratio with most class sizes also relatively small. This design shall allow undergraduate students to get to know their professors, often working with them on individual research and scholarly projects.

African University will recruit talented and exemplary faculty and students who shall create a dynamic learning environment in which knowledge is investigated, created, transmitted and used. As role models, the African University faculty shall share their expertise through mentoring, collaboration, advisement, and professional networking. African University faculty shall live on campus or close to it.

Housing opportunities shall be created to allow for superb faculty to live in the residence halls, a context in which information interactions between students and faculty to occur.

African University will operate enterprises that will serve the following end: 1) not only be income-generating, but will provide a source of income for students and the local economy.
